A Little Extra Help

Not everyone is able to provide support at a sponsorship level. There are many who might donate something once for a raffle or who give us a regular discount on our purchases. This page is to thank those many supporters and tell you about them so that you can offer them your patronage.

The Grand Hotel, Victoria
Lucky for us, the owner and his family are supporters of things environmental and were very kind to make both business and personal donations to us at a time when donations have been especially sparse. When you're in the mood for refreshing drink, stop in at the Grand!

A loud round of applause goes to those people who bring you that recycled toilet paper usually wrapped in paper. The makers of SAFE, Merino P/L, have donated one year's worth of their product to the frog hospital. We use this for mopping up tanks and every package they have donated is saving us $3.64. Their total donation is worth nearly $900. So next time you're shopping and you want to support the environmentally friendly manufacturer, make sure you are buying SAFE! They also have a little kit the kids can order and a website at www.safeforourplanet.com.au

We have members of our organisation who provide much more than the cost of their yearly memberships so we'd like to send a big pat on the back to Sally Dean in Townsville and Anne Miller-Weston of Mareeba who have provided substantial support in their own ways!

Johno's Blues Bar
The owners and staff at Johno's run cane toad races and our donation box around the room to collect your spare change after you've ordered your drinks. So you can enjoy yourself and help us at the same time!

Great Adventures
The Cairns Frog Hospital was chosen as one of the receiving charities for funds collected during the 2005 Green Island Birthday celebration. And just when we really needed the help, too!

Pacific International Hotel, Cairns Intenational Hotel, Sunlover Cruises, Barrier Reef Helicopter Group and Cairns Colonial Club
All donated large prizes to our big "Needed Distraction" raffle in 2004 which had five winners drawn. Thanks for your confidence and help to keep us going.

QLink Rail

The large load of SAFE product was transported to Cairns through the generousity of the folks at QLink Rail - thanks QLink.

Treetops Resort, Port Douglas
Quicksilver Connections and the Rainforest Habitat, Port Douglas

Our getaway package raffle prizes were kindly donated by these businesses. Thanks for helping us to raise funds for our work.

Chemical Essentials
...sell an essential product called F10 SC for disinfection when diseased animals is what you handle, but it is very expensive so they provide us with a 10% discount so we can manage it better! www.chemicalessentials.com.au

Pink Lady Chocolates
donated a large supply of chocolate frogs to us which have been popular at display stalls.

Wilderness Warehouse

the CFH airconditioning solution . . .
was provided by Sydney H. Turner Retravision (on Spence St), our quiet supporter Rod, Ice Age Airconditioning and Ms. Angela Fraser. Thanks folks!

Although they may not be able to provide a business service, we must also say thank you to the Sydney Frog and Tadpole Study Group who have come to our rescue twice with fundraising nights which netted $1,000 and $1,400 - it normally takes a dozen or more of our volunteers three months to raise that kind of money selling raffle tickets! We've also received donations from RANA in Brisbane, SOFAR in Newcastle (NSW) and Humane Society International. Thanks fellow froggers.

Some of our biggest individual donors do not want to be recognised at all so we can't say a public thanks but you folks know who you are and we appreciate your generous support. Thanks as always to Rod; thanks for the fast rescue to Barry Loader; and thank you to Dr. Patricia Rimmer.
